Goldie (born Clifford Price) is going back to his roots using his Rufige Kru moniker.
Goldie's first ever recording alias Rufige Kru was used on a series of seminal jungle/drum'n'bass releases on Reinforced Records in 1992 and pitched him to the top of the growing scene to the point of singing his Metalheadz project to London Records and the release of the classic ‘Timeless’ project.
Rufige Kru’s hitlist consists of such memorable moments as ‘Darkrider’, ‘Terminator’ (in itself a defining and scene changing moment) and ‘Kemistry’, and for Metalheadz ‘Dark Metal’ and ‘Beachdrifta’.
So to ‘Malice in Wonderland’, the debut Rufige Kru album and the Metalheadz labels' debut artist album, and it's all about recapturing the essence of the early scene but with the modern technology – a deep, dark, uncompromising ride across the memory traces.
