Hyperdub unearths another new talent, Ikonika here presenting her debut material for the label, her wonky/bleep dubstep situating itself somewhere between the hook-driven ditties Skream has made his own, and Kode 9's double-time arrangements. The production is suitably plastic, with the focus firmly on those arpeggiated synth notes and synthetic bass rubs that do their thing nicely alongside tight snares that keep the momentum. Of course, by now no one in their right mind would question Steve Goodman's selection skills, and following on from the brilliantly entertaining Quarta 330 twelve, Ikonika is another solid transmission from the country's most developed, forever intriguing bass imprint...
