subtle intro delicately building tension until the funk fuelled riff rises from the layers of pads and strings. Forward moving, the explosive percussion loop increases the pace, while midrange stabs add a technical aspect and strong funk influence. The flip, ’God-Fearing’ is a much darker affair, with reverbed drum hits and stabs attacking the mix. Dirt filled squelches keep the mind interested as a huge low end bass pulsates underneath. A menacing vocal keeps the tone dark and vibe murky.
