Good old Wevie.......back for more!! 'The Wooden Horse of Troy' has been described variously as joketronica or git-hop, and the Stonder's overt funny bone may put a lot of people off but A) they’re just too damn funny and B) they make good music! 'Stalemate' sounds not unlike a Beach Boys/Telefon Tel Aviv colllaboration, with beautiful harmonies and delicious strings coalescing to thrilling effect. Similarily 'Dog Gone' contains More of Alan’s well known savvy with a drum machine whilst the title track is a spasming hunk of hip-hop, doused in Kia-Ora; I'll be your dog! 'When The Last Thing You Want Is The First Thing You Get's combination of The Specials, New Wave and The Mighty Boosh proves that if done right, nobody has to get hurt. Ace.
