***Restock*** The Berlin based musician Larsson was discovered by traum in July 2006. The A-side track 'die spreemelodie' is a stripped down techno production that gets its handwriting from an innovative rhythmic 'stop and go' beat programming and a strong trippy melodic hook line, which reminds us of the early Chicago legend Tim Harper. The track is then fused with a second melody that makes the connection to modern melodies. On the flipside you can find the hit monster 'maximus' that is based on a bass line which comes close to New Order's 'Blue Monday'! a super epic and strong track. The newcomer from Berlin, born in Bremen, played bass in a jazz and funk band, but then made the decision in 2001 to produce electronic music instead of improvisations which got too abstract for him. He soon got into djing but always stayed in touch with his band, where he still continues to play bass occasionally. Larsson then started to produce music with logic and later abelton 5 and has created modern minimal groove tracks with a big appreciation for bass lines and musical contents. His massive productions with hypnotic melodies and trippy moments come close to those of Dominik Eulberg. Dominik is also one of Larsson?s influences for contemporary techno next to Ricardo Villalobos
