Some fresh blood from the Low Life camp, Verb. T and Kashmere The Iguana Man contribute six tracks each to an album of solid Hip Hop, touching on all styles from clubbed-out to head-nod to simply nuts.
Verb. T and Kashmere were working intensively on solo EPs in the Low Life studio late last year when it was decided to put both records together to make a full length album. As both artists perform together live it was a natural combination and 2 tracks here are produced by Ghost who DJs for the pair on stage. The rest of the beats were produced by Braintax, his first serious work on wax since 2001’s classic ‘Biro Funk’ LP. Scratches are perfectly executed by Mr. Thing one of the UK’s hottest Hip Hop DJs.
Verb. T from West London - contributed with Harry Love the ‘Showbitchness’ single from Low Life’s ‘Food’ compilation and has featured on recent releases from the Breakin’ Bread label.
Kashmere from North West London - also featured on ‘Food’ and has released 2 EPs on his own label Receptor Records as well as hosting London’s Breakin’ Bread club night and contributing to several Breakin’ Bread releases including Ghost’s ‘Ghost Stories’ EP.
Check ‘Ravenous’ (which also features newcomer Red) or ‘Mysterious Crane Technique’ for the rawness, ‘Damn This Headache’ or ‘The Aliens Are Coming’ for some fast experimental ish, ‘Stagger’ for some clubby shit or ‘The Rulership’ for some classic 90s style… …with so much flavour this album proves that there is plenty of fresh blood in UK Hip Hop ready to flow, we believe this is set to be an underground classic and another staple of the Low Life back catalogue,
