Established in 1999, Defected records have a ludicrously huge discography, boasting some of dance music's most established and respected names as contributors. For DFTD287 (!!!) they announce German duo Dalton. Driven by 4 x 4 bass drums and claiming that they simply want to "send the party into ecstasy", Dualton are a fine choice for Defected with "Formula" (the original mix was released last year). Cadenza artist Reboot gets given remix duty on the flip, and the outcome is as darkly twisted as it is infectiously danceable, expertly blending house and techno production values to devastating effect.
