First single from the second Riovolt album 'Sambarama', out on La Douce. German producer, composer, musician Nobit has put together a stunning selection of electronically influenced Brazilian rhythms with lovely vocals courtesy of Lilian Vieira (Zuco 103) and, like in this case, Ju Cassou. 'Brisa' is certainly one of the most impressive songs on the album, its original jazzy bossa feel is reproduced here thanks to the 4 minute edit (as opposed to the original 9 minute album version). But the DJ's favourites will certainly be the stunning Sicania Soul and 12 Fingers mixes. Both production teams hail from Italy and are part of the Irma roster. Sicania Soul are DJ's producers/shop managers Mauro Di Martino and Erik Cascone who normally, in their productions offer a distinctive spine chilling, almost acoustic kind of 'live' house music, but being them also convinced Carl Craig fans they come up with this outstanding Detroit meets Brazil gem. Touching! Also released this autumn their new single 'Life Is A Tree' includinf a Truby Trio Treatment mix. 12 Fingers are DJ Ivan Savoldi and sound engineer Alessandro Cattenatti. They've been working together since 1999, employing from time to time different guest musicians. They have just released a new single 'Girassol' on Irma Casa Di Primordine. They add to this release two totally different mixes of 'Brisa', one more typically in their own style, uplifting latin house that reminds of Louie Vega's Elements Of Life, and a deeper, hypnotic pearl of a dub.
