lot49 continue their superb roll of big releases with the second release from metric in the form of "leave it" and "stale". metric, aka alex drury has quickly become one of the most promising talents in breakbeat, gaining support from everyone in the scene and being heavily praised for his bold electronic and vocal twist on breaks - and this release is takes up the mantle wonderfully. "leave it" is pure electronic funk with massive sounds and stomping beats sitting alongside some serious stabs and soulful vocal hits while it's counterpart, "stale", treads a slightly more off-kilter path with pitch-shifted vocals and electro leanings. with dylan rhymes, meat katie, adam freeland, lee coombs and evil9 all tipping metric for big things, it seems like the young man has a very bright future.
